HORIZON
Thinner. More massive. Horizon, which is designed with the motif of an endless horizon, is characterized by its highly curved dome windshield formed by cutting and polishing the front and back sides of solid sapphire glass and the sense of tension like that of a water surface when viewed from the side. The hollow in the side of the case looks stately like a Japanese sword, representing subtle yet bold Japanese beauty in contrast with the satin-finished surface.

The hollow in the side of the case gives the HORIZON a tense and beautiful appearance. It is moderate but includes a beauty that appeals to men. Every face of the crown is provided with an attractive luster by sallaz polishing. The logo is engraved with pride.

What attracts men may be the massive, powerful solidity of the dial plate of HORIZON. It conveys a sense of strong will hidden beneath the tense water surface, a sense of pride in oneself. Note that the hands curved along the windshield are positioned higher than the case.
We provide two types of strap: stainless steel and rubber. The rubber strap is perfect for men who lead an active life. It is made of heat-, cold-, and sweat-resistant ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM). Without changing HORIZON’s sophisticated design, this strap adds a casual character befitting adult men.
MORE Structure
We make products that will be treasured for more than 100 years, thanks partly to the MORE structure*. This is MINASE’s original structure inspired by Japanese traditional wooden puzzles and characterized by the contrast between the mirror and hairline-finished surfaces. Unlike common belts, there are no pinholes on the sides of segments, which yields a compact design. Since all exterior parts can be disassembled, only the necessary parts can be repaired or replaced in case of damage. The MORE structure reduces the burden of permanent maintenance and is indispensable for making watches that will be treasured for over 100 years.

Sallaz Polishing
Sallaz polishing in watchmaking is like work done behind the scene. It is a substrate preparation technique for obtaining beautiful, distortion-free surfaces, and involves more than 500 processes taking no less than 15 hours. MINASE is almost the only watch brand that employs such a time-consuming polishing technique in the world. However, a clear and beautiful mirror surface can be achieved only by making such effort before finishing the case. High-precision sallaz polishing is also indispensable for the delicate MORE structure. Sallaz polishing and the MORE structure are inseparable in MINASE’s watchmaking.
